Job Description

The Sr. Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety and environmental initiatives across assigned properties. This position performs workplace inspections, investigates incidents, delivers safety training, tracks corrective actions, and collaborates with management to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and maintain compliance with all applicable safety and environmental standards.

NOTE: This job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.

  • Monitor compliance with company safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections, audits, and workplace evaluations.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and monitor corrective and preventive action plans across departments.
  • Deliver safety meetings and training programs to promote safe work practices and increase employee awareness.
  • Serve as a liaison between management, contractors, and employees to resolve safety-related concerns.
  • Assist with the development and execution of corporate safety initiatives and special projects.
  • Evaluate new safety technologies, equipment, and procedures to improve workplace safety.
  • Prepare reports, analyze safety data, and assist leadership with safety performance metrics.
  • Submit recommendations and safety-related requisitions to the Safety Manager.
  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, plus two (2) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and fire safety programs.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Strong observation, documentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging safety training to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate safety concepts effectively.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and promote a collaborative safety culture.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze safety data and prepare reports.
  • Ability to work in environments requiring PPE and exposure to construction sites, varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and other environmental hazards.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate gaming license.
