You’ll serve as a trusted trading resource while representing the Block Desk through advisor consultations, webinars, and industry events.
What You Will Do
- Develop execution strategies for large or less-liquid equity and ETF orders, balancing client instructions, liquidity, market impact, timing, and risk.
- Guide RIAs through execution options and trade-offs, using sound judgment and escalating when appropriate.
- Build trusted relationships with RIA portfolio managers, traders, COOs, and compliance professionals through clear advice, responsive service, and consistent follow-through.
- Use pre- and post-trade analysis to explain outcomes, identify opportunities to reduce implicit trading costs, and improve client trading processes.
- Manage Not-Held order flow and resolve trade-related concerns with timely, accurate support.
- Present trading and market-structure education through RIA consultations, webinars, internal sessions, and industry events, adapting the message to the audience.
- Partner with trading, sales, service, market makers, and ETF issuers to solve client needs and strengthen the Block Desk experience.
What you have
Required:

- Trade execution and risk assessment skills, including the ability to evaluate execution alternatives, weigh client objectives against risk, and make timely decisions as market conditions change.
- Client relationship and consulting skills, with the ability to establish credibility with institutional or RIA clients, uncover needs, manage expectations, and translate complex market dynamics into practical guidance.
- Analytical skills to interpret pre- and post-trade information and connect execution outcomes to actionable recommendations.
- Clear communication and presentation skills across one-to-one conversations, webinars, virtual meetings, and in-person events, including the ability to respond effectively to live questions.
- Ability to collaborate across internal and external partners, adapt to changing priorities, and stay accurate and responsive in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Working proficiency with Bloomberg and electronic execution or order management platforms; familiarity with Trafix or comparable EMS/OMS tools is helpful.
Preferred
- Series 57, Series 24, or Series 4 licenses.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, military experience, and demonstrated skills.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
