Vue d'ensemble du travail

TE Connectivity’s Rapid Response Team (RRT) is a specialized, engineering-led initiative focused on accelerating the customer design process through rapid prototyping, improved collaboration between commercial and technical teams, and faster iteration cycles. Its core mission is to reduce time-to-market by delivering concept and pre-production solutions to customers within compressed timelines. As a Senior R&D/Product Development Engineer on the RRT, you will lead technical execution of early-stage development efforts, transforming customer requirements into manufacturable prototype solutions. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role requiring strong engineering judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to deliver results with speed and decisiveness.

Exigences du poste

Responsibilities:

• Lead concept-to-prototype activities from customer inquiry through delivery

• Translate Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements into engineering concepts, models, and prototype solutions

• Support rapid feasibility assessments, including technical risk, manufacturability, and cost trade-offs

• Execute within compressed development timelines aligned to RRT objectives Product Design & Development

• Develop 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and product concepts

• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering fundamentals to ensure design intent

• Utilize DFM/DfAM principles to create manufacturable, cost-effective solutions

• Perform engineering analysis (mechanical, thermal, etc.) to support early validation Prototyping & Validation

• Lead and support prototype builds using additive manufacturing, machining, and assembly processes

• Troubleshoot prototype and design issues; drive rapid iterations

• Support inspection, validation, and test activities for early-stage product evaluation

• Ensure prototypes meet “fit-for-purpose” requirements for customer evaluation Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams

• Interface directly with customers to clarify requirements and present technical solutions

• Act as a bridge between engineering and commercial functions to accelerate decision-making Speed-to-Market Enablement
