Job Description

The WW Grocery Private Brands team is looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, and analytical Senior Quality & Operations Manager. You will join a high-powered, fun and collaborative work environment on the private brands team where you will help build and scale our business within both physical stores and online channels.

This role ensures that products are consistently produced to our quality expectations by assessing supplier capability, technical specifications, and first production readiness with private label manufacturers. You will be expected to drive activities across several stakeholder teams including Food Safety, Product Management, Commercialization, Supply Chain, and suppliers to launch high quality food products. Post-launch, you will be responsible for investigations and on-going quality and operations management.

You will work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders across food categories to support formula and packaging development, interact with and influence suppliers to plan first productions, lead quality incident investigations, and monitor supplier performance. This role requires strong experience in consumer goods manufacturing, preferably in USDA and/or FDA regulated spaces.

To succeed in role, you must be obsessed with driving quality standards to earn and maintain customer trust. You'll also need to be comfortable with building strategy from ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be self-motivated to learn new categories quickly. Our quality managers have strong writing and communication skills coupled with a vision for quality. They have the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders. They can also identify patterns from large sets of data and are motivated by a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities
The Sr. Commercialization Quality Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Driving product quality from a customer perspective from concept to launch.
- Supporting quality assurance and operation programs, ensuring adherence to cGMP, support product compliance and testing requirements, ensure compliance with final product testing, ongoing manufacturer quality programs, and leading troubleshooting activities (including why-why analysis) with suppliers.
- Monitoring quality and operation processes that ensure third party manufacturers meet our requirements around traceability and authenticity.
- Supporting cross-functional teams in assessing and working with chosen suppliers to ensure an optimized manufacturing process is in place, including all aspects of raw materials, packaging, authenticity, process controls, documentation, required equipment, and test parameters are in place to deliver against the consumer and brand needs.
- Managing continuous improvement projects to mitigate repeat issues, shorten project cycle times, and improve process efficiencies.
- Identifying opportunities to improve or optimize supplier and commercialization manufacturing processes, including cost savings opportunities.
- Conducting data analysis of customer feedback (contacts/complaints) across many different categories and be able to identify and prioritize areas to improve the customer experience or first time right production.
- Managing and monitoring key performance metrics for suppliers, Product Managers, Quality, Supply Chain and customer feedback.

Basic Qualifications


- BA or BS degree in engineering
- Experience problem solving and root cause analysis
- CAPA and cGMP
- Defines Quality KPIs

Preferred Qualifications

- Six-Sigma or equivalent certification
- Experience in risk management and internal audit including: performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
- CPG experience
- Knowledge of packaging and packaging defects
