Westport Machining is a leading manufacturing facility in the heavy truck industry, providing high-quality CNC machining solutions to major OEM customers. We’re growing and looking for a Manufacturing Quality Manager to join our Louisville, KY operation and help drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the plant.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead process engineering and validation efforts to ensure product quality and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015)
  • Identify non-conformances and drive root cause corrective actions
  • Establish and track KPIs across departments to measure performance
  • Analyze trends and implement improvements based on data insights
  • Manage Layered Process Audits (LPA) and PFMEAs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
  • Support supplier quality and develop scorecards for performance monitoring
  • Lead training and development initiatives to strengthen quality standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 standards and audits
  • Background in building or managing a Quality Management System
  • Strong understanding of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Experience with audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and GD&T
  • Experience with process capability studies and quality tools
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to make decisions and manage competing priorities
  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership
