Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance Expert – Systems for an ongoing elevated metro rail project in Mumbai. The role involves monitoring and auditing installation, testing, commissioning, and integration activities for systems and associated metro rail systems.

  • Oversee and implement QA/QC activities for all metro systems works within the elevated metro project.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, approved drawings, and applicable international/national standards.
  • Review and approve Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures submitted by contractors.
  • Monitor quality control activities related to E&M, Signalling & Telecommunications (S&T), Traction, AFC, SCADA, PSD, and associated systems packages.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections, audits, and surveillance at site, depots, stations, viaducts, and system installation areas.
  • Verify material approvals, factory inspections, testing procedures, calibration records, and compliance documentation.
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), integrated testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
  • Coordinate with contractors, client representatives, design consultants, safety teams, and stakeholders on quality-related matters.
  • Ensure proper documentation, quality records, inspection reports, and test results are maintained as per project requirements.
  • Support interface coordination and systems integration activities from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Identify quality risks and recommend corrective measures to minimize defects and rework.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide periodic quality status reports to the Client and GC management team.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality management systems and relevant metro/railway standards.
  • Assist during trial runs, system commissioning, handover, and final acceptance activities.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical
  • Minimum total experience of 15+ years
  • 5+ years of experience with Metro/LRT/ Projects
