Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our global development team, distributed across four MSIM locations. The ideal candidate will contribute to designing and building a modern technology stack that powers digital platforms, enabling efficiencies for our Investment Teams. This is a front-office role requiring strong technical expertise and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, modular, and scalable web applications following best coding and testing practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute toward achieving team goals.
• Collaborate with a global team of technologists across multiple locations.
• Drive innovation by contributing ideas and implementing best-in-class solutions.
• Partner with end users (Fixed Income team) to gather requirements and design effective solutions.

Core Competencies

• 7+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level Python applications.
• Strong expertise in building scalable backend systems using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks and ORM tools.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture for web applications.
• Experience in writing unit, component, and integration tests.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with build and deployment tooling.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders for requirement gathering and lead Agile practices.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and financial instruments.
• Experience with Fixed Income portfolio tools and data is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and work with proprietary cloud-based technologies.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to independently drive solutions.
• Solid understanding of system design principles along with strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and RAG-based applications.
• Experience in building enterprise-level AI agents and intelligent systems.
• Ability to design scalable and efficient end-to-end solutions.
• Frontend exposure is a plus (preferably Angular), but strong Python expertise is mandatory, along with experience in developing Gen AI / RAG applications.
