The Senior Proofreaderis responsible forensuring the accuracy,consistencyand quality ofdigital and print copyacrossJ.CrewFactory’s promotional and brand marketing channels.This role reviews and approves marketing assets for grammar, spelling,style,punctuation, brand voice, promotional accuracy, legalcomplianceand visual consistency.
Working closely with Creative, Copy,Brand Operations,Marketing, E-commerce, Merchandisingand Legalteams, the Senior Proofreaderwill ensurethat all messaging is clear and error-free across digital, print and in-store touchpoints.
Responsibilities
Proofread and quality-check promotional and brand-marketing materials across email, website, paid media, social media, SMS, direct mail, store signage,packagingand other customer-facing channels.
Verify the accuracy of promotional offers, pricing, product namesand details, discount language, exclusions, dates, legaldisclaimersand call-to-action messaging.
Ensure adherence toJ.CrewFactory’s brand voice, editorialstandardsand style guidelines.
Identifyand correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax,formattingand typographical errors.
Review andvalidatelegal and compliance language in partnership with Legal and Marketing teams.
Manage multiple concurrent projects whilemaintainingexceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications,Marketingor a related field.
5+ years of proofreading, copyeditingor editorial experience, preferably in retail, fashion,e-commerceor consumer marketing.
Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation,syntaxand usage.
Experience proofreading high-volume promotional and marketing content.
Strong understanding of promotional messaging, pricingstructuresandoffermechanics.
Ability toidentifyand resolveinconsistencies across versions of creative assets
Excellent organizational,communicationandproject management skills.
Knowledge of Chicago style andproficiencyinprograms such as InDesign, Photoshop,Figma,JIRAand Excel
Ability to work effectivelyand independentlyunderfluctuatingdeadlines whilemaintainingaccuracy.

Hourly Range: $33.65 - $40.83

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
