By collaborating within the Capital Project Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of medicines to the world.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Maintain portfolio‑level financial reporting to support accurate cash‑flow forecasting, IMEx metric alignment, and disciplined contingency management across the capital portfolio.
Develop and maintain portfolio analytics, dashboards, and visual reporting to support project prioritization, leadership reviews, and timely decision‑making.
Track and control project costs by maintaining detailed cost spreadsheets and supporting Project Managers with forecasts, fund dates, closure timing, and status assessments.
Ensure financial system alignment between SAP project accounting and the portfolio management database for all assigned projects.
Provide comprehensive cost control support across engineering areas, project managers, and cost drivers, including recurring reports, spreadsheets, and leadership presentations.
Deliver accurate, timely project status reporting and prepare agendas and presentation materials for site, engineering, and GH&B forums.
Execute core finance functions including monthly CIP depreciation accruals, Fixed Asset Register (FAR) reviews, and Budget‑to‑Actual analysis support.
Lead capital project closure activities, including PO and drawing reconciliation, asset capitalization, GCR reconciliation, spare parts verification, RFPM setup verification, and compliance documentation.
Ensure compliance with corporate capital, expense, procurement, taxation, and confidentiality requirements.
Develop and manage the site‑wide master shutdown schedule, integrating project work, maintenance activities, and operational readiness tasks.
Analyze critical path activities and scheduling flexibility to ensure successful shutdown execution and timely return to production.
Track and report shutdown progress daily, supporting engineering and site‑wide shutdown meetings with real‑time schedule updates.
Manage shutdown Change Request (CR) tracking, including prioritization, Task Class assignment, and tracking closure of critical Task Class I–II items to support aseptic readiness.
Support capital authorizations and procurement activities, contingency releases, purchase orders, bid exceptions, vendor qualification, invoice processing, and discrepancy resolution.
Administer engineering business systems and processes, including SharePoint and Teams sites, CPMP documentation, electronic workflows, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross‑functional communication.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years ofrelevantexperience
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Accounting operations
Minimum of 5 years preferred finance, project management experience with Pfizer systems such as Ariba, SAP, and CPM (Capital Portfolio Manager)
Experience preferred with Microsoft Project Professional or Project Plan 3
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires full investment in the success of the CapEx Department and site-wide shut down, exceptional organizational skills and resourcefulness, a proven ability to prioritize and complete work with no oversight, proactive perception and resolution of problems, and decision making with less than complete information provided.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Standard day shift schedule. Off-shift work minimal. One to two annual shutdowns require significant site commitments and time to effectively execute scheduling and change control related requirements.
Very minimal travel required (less than 5%).

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $82 700,00 to $137 900,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10,0% of the base salary.
