At ATC, our Field Specialists play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality transmission projects that power communities across the region. You’ll be trusted to operate independently in the field, partnering with project teams to ensure materials, construction activities, and documentation align with plan—before small issues become big risks.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Own material receipting by verifying deliveries, quantities, and condition of materials on job sites
• Conduct visual inspections and document non-conformances to ensure quality and compliance
• Perform field observations, comparing contractor labor and equipment plans to actual site conditions
• Monitor and report consumable usage to support accurate project tracking
• Complete and submit field documentation including checklists, non-conformance reports, and status updates
• Collaborate with ATC project teams to understand observation scope and reporting expectations
• Champion safety by participating in safety conversations and escalating unsafe conditions promptly
• Field-first mindset with a preference for boots-on-the-ground verification
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch discrepancies early
• Independent, organized, and trusted to manage multiple job sites
• Strong communicator who translates field observations into actionable insights
• Risk-aware and safety-focused, willing to speak up when something doesn’t look right
• 3+ years of experience in transmission or distribution construction or similar utility environments
• Hands-on experience supporting substation or overhead/underground transmission projects
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Experience with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or field data collection tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools for documentation and reporting
• Purposeful autonomy with trust to make sound field-based decisions

• Strong safety culture grounded in integrity

The targeted base pay for this position is $103,400 to $120,600 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more
