This position is hybrid working 3 days a week from our Legacy West Support Cener located in Plano Texas.

About the role

The Sr Project Manager of Store Opening & Testing is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning and execution of Sally Ignited store openings while also supporting opening opening/closing for Cosmo Prof and execute Multi Variant Testing (MVT) initiatives. This role serves as the central point of accountability, coordinating cross-functional partners, field leadership, and executive stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and operationally ready. The Sr Project Manager provides executive-level visibility into progress, risks, testing outcomes, and decision points while driving disciplined project management practices.

Responsibilities

60% Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Sally Ignited store openings from pipeline management through post-opening stabilization to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and operational readiness.

  • Partner with field leaders to execute all projects to confirm operational readiness across locations, and standardize execution expectations, and feedback loops.

Manage deliverables, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across Merchandising, Marketing, Construction, Real Estate, Planning & Allocation, Space Planning & POG, Procurement, Finance, and HR to support

5% Lead end-to-end store opening/closing Cosmo Prof to the defined timeline and operational standards.

5% Serve as Sr Project Manager for Multi Variant Testing (MVT) initiatives including defining variables, managing internal/external partnership, executing to the timeline, and keeping all parties informed of progress, risks, and reporting.

10% Provide the executive stakeholders with relevant information on process, risks, and key decisions to support all projects within scope of responsibility.

20% Manage Store Opening Coordinators and the Workload Project Manager (Laci), and oversee shared services support for store openings and MVT execution (including dedicated coordinator support for BSG).

Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within retail or multi-unit operations.
  • Proven experience leading store openings, pilot programs, or large-scale testing initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail store development or operations experience.
  • Experience leading cross functional team to drive partnership and accountability
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership experience in a matrixed or shared services environment.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Working conditions & physical requirements

This will be a hybrid role required to be on site at the Corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary; however, occasional travel to company locations may be required Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work
