For our team, we are looking for (Sr.) Project Manager – R&D Consulting to help us drive ADV business within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and excited to get to know you.

You'll make an impact by

A. For Management Consulting Projects (Strategy & Transformation)

  • Lead the design and delivery of IPD (Integrated Product Development) transformation, digital R&D strategy, and innovation maturity assessments.
  • Facilitate executive-level workshops to define transformation roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and align with clients’ business goals.
  • Conduct benchmarking, gap analysis, and ROI modeling to build compelling business cases for change.
  • Guide clients through organizational change management to ensure sustainable adoption.

B. For Implementation Projects (Platform Deployment & AI Enablement)

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of digital R&D platform implementations, including system architecture, configuration, data migration, and go-live.
  • Oversee AI/ML solution deployments in R&D contexts, such as intelligent requirements management, automated test generation, predictive maintenance, or generative design.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, developers, data scientists, and business analysts to deliver working solutions on time and within budget.
  • Define and track technical KPIs (system uptime, user adoption rate, model accuracy) alongside business KPIs (time-to-market reduction, rework cost savings).

C. General Project Management Responsibilities (Applicable to Both)

  • Establish robust project governance: steering committees, risk registers, change control boards, and escalation paths.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality across all workstreams.
  • Provide transparent status reporting to client executives and internal leadership.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and consultants on the team.
  • Ensure alignment between project deliverables and clients’ strategic objectives, translating

Your defining qualities

  • 10+ years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated project/program management role within a consulting firm or large enterprise transformation environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects (budget >$5M, duration >12 months, cross-functional teams of 20+) in either or both of the following categories:
  • Management consulting projects focused on IPD, PLM process improvement, or digital R&D strategy.
  • Implementation projects involving PLM platforms (TeamCenter/Windchill/ENOVIA) or AI/ML solutions in R&D.
  • Deep expertise in project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, SAFe) and relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent).
  • Strong command of risk management, financial management (EVMS), and vendor management.
  • Domain knowledge in Product Lifecycle Management, R&D processes, or digital engineering is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with digital R&D platforms (architecture, configuration, or implementation) is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML (e.g., NLP, computer vision, generative AI) to solve real-world R&D challenges.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills in both Mandarin and English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%.

The skills you are expected to have

  • Experience managing programs that combine both management consulting and implementation phases (e.g., strategy-to-execution).
  • Background in hardware + software integrated product development (mechatronics, automotive, industrial equipment, consumer electronics).
  • Prior experience as a Program Manager in a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) or a major PLM software vendor.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Engineering / Technology Management / Data Science).
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Thread / Digital Twin, or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Certification in Change Management or Agile at Scale (SAFe Program Consultant).
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
