Job Description

The Operations Sr Project Leader is responsible for leading local strategic operations projects and its implementation. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with proven “big picture” strategic, problem solving and change management experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Set Mexico local operations strategies to support the global growth of the business.
  • Determine optimal manufacturing footprint and capability in MEX to support long-term category growth.
  • Perform financial analysis on assigned project to assess and validate the financial impact (ROI, Tariff, etc.).
  • Consistently visualize the entire scope of a project with very little guidance.
  • Communicate, both verbally / written, to ensure all groups are working toward the goal of timely project completion. Make presentations of project status for various levels of the organization.
  • Quickly, effectively, candidly frame up and escalate business risks/opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Converge solutions, options, plans, given general direction, for discussion in a relevant timeframe. Prepare final recommendations for Upper Management approval.
  • Regularly schedule, develop agendas, facilitate, and present project status and document project meetings.
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and deliver information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a strategic cross-functional mindset and understand how team decisions will impact the entire organization.
  • Maintain the cross functional teams of each project engaged and inform of the project.

Tools you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor degree preferred in business areas such as Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational Studies.
  • Formal project management training preferred (PMP certification).
  • Proven experience successfully managing medium to high complexity projects.
  • Operations experience with NPD, sourcing, forecasting, and inventory planning.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management of operations or manufacturing experience.
  • Proven experience with operations financial analysis and models (i.e. Make vs Buy, standard costing, CapEx).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with international work, factories, and teams.
  • Vital to be extremely organized and detailed-oriented.
  • Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Collaboration skills in an executive setting.
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility.
  • Ability to develop options / scenarios for uncertain situations, and handle trade off discussions with a broader team.
  • Strategic cross-functional mindset.
  • Results driven and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to manage projects to aggressive schedules and results.
  • Ability to handle fast paced and agile culture, and adapt to constant change and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication in English (interviews will be in English).
