TheSeniorProjectDirectorwillbe responsible foroverseeinga regionalprojectimplementationteamthatwillinclude Project Directors, Project Managers, ProjectCoordinatorsand Construction Managers forBESS projectsProvidingleadership anddecision-makingproject scope including but not limited to schedules, budgets, changes / variations, and dispute resolutionThe individual will liaise with internaldepartments(Commercial, Engineering, Quality, Commissioning, Service, Accounting, Legal and Procurement),the client / owner, equipmentsuppliers, EPC’sBOP’sandandvarioussubcontractorsDepartment management, projectmanagement, contractreviewand EPCconstruction experienceisrequiredas wellasdemonstratedinfluence,negotiationand conflict resolution skills
Responsibilities:
Lead and developregional project implementation teamincluding Project Directors, Project Mangers, Project Coordinators and Construction Managers
Assistin creating Annual Operating Plans (resources, operating expenses) and then adhering to plan throughout calendar year
Review,approve, and provide decision making forproject schedules, budgets (expenses), scope changes / variations,qualityand risks
Determineand assignresourcestocross-functional projects of high complexityworking with internal departments including Commercial, Engineering, Quality, Commissioning, Service, Accounting, Legal and Procurement
Review and provide input on contract documentation including head agreements and schedules for EPCand battery supplycontracts, EPC BOPsubcontractsandequipmentsupply agreements
Meet with senior level stakeholders (client, suppliers, internal) to negotiate and resolve conflicts
Assistin estimation of project costs and development of project schedules timelines
Overseeanddeterminethe frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members anddeterminekey performance indicators tomonitorperformance
Organizeprojectlesson learned reviewstoidentifysuccessful and unsuccessful project elements
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standardsand incompliancewiththeCS e-StorageCode of Business Conduct
Adhere to and enforce of all health and safety rules and company policies
Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
Engineering (Electrical,Mechanicalor Civil)or Businessdegree or diploma
Minimum10yearsexperiencein managing construction projectsand5years managing direct reports
Experience with utility scale renewable construction projects, preferably in Battery Energy Storage Systems
Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills (including oral,writtenand visual)
Strong negotiation, facilitation,riskmanagementand consensus building skills
Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and photovoltaic or Energy Storage system applications isrequired
Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality
Expert knowledge of creating business requirements, work plans, projectschedulesand associated project artifacts
Mustpossessa valid driver’s license with acleandriving record
Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team
Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct
Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) asrequired
Travel requiredtoclient and supplier facilities and sites under construction up to 50% of time during peak periods

About Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH in Munich
In 2009, Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH was founded and comprises currently of more than 50 employees from 18 different nations. Highly skilled experts represent our team and we are confident to serve our customers. We are a sales organization and can support our sales team from the Munich office within the fields of technical, legal, accounting, marketing, logistics and order fulfillment matters.
Within the EMEA region, we are distinguishing between three different business lines: modules sales, digital solutions and energy business . The first two teams lead from the Munich office, are responsible for the modules sales and digital solutions are finally reporting to CCO Yan Zhuang, responsible for the global sales within Canadian Solar. Globally, the Energy Business Team is led by Arthur Chen and teams are located across Europe in UK and Spain. In the near future Milan will be added. Across all cross-functional departments key personnel is identified as platform to coordinate and support the separate business lines in legal, human resources, accounting and operational matters.
