About this opportunity:

The vision of the Process Innovation and Intelligent Automation (PI&A) team is to Scale automated process discovery into an intelligence layer to accelerate process redesign, bridge modernization, and advance automation and agent-powered execution—delivering near-term value and sustained growth for Target.

The Program Manager role reports to the Director – Process Engineering and leads the design, governance, and execution of cross-functional programs that enhance operational effectiveness. This role translates strategic priorities into structured, outcome-driven initiatives with clear goals, milestones, and measurable impact.

Partnering closely with Process Engineers, Product Managers, Support and Business teams, the Program Manager ensures programs are designed end-to-end with optimized efficiency, strong data integrity, and scalable governance models. This individual applies systems thinking and strategic insight to connect dependencies, proactively shaping future-state operating models beyond immediate execution.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and conflict management skills to align diverse teams, manage competing priorities, and drive sustainable results. As a representative of the team in enterprise forums, the Program Manager plays a key role in reinforcing consistency, improving data-driven decision making, and delivering long-term business value.

As a Program manager, you will need to have the experience and skills to:

  • Lead and oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) for the PI&A team, ensuring effective governance, execution discipline, and delivery oversight.
  • Establish and manage structured reporting systems and databases to monitor, track, and provide visibility into team initiatives and project performance.
  • Translate strategic enterprise priorities into actionable plans, defined deliverables, and measurable milestones.
  • Drive end-to-end project management activities, ensuring timelines, dependencies, risks, and outcomes are proactively managed.
  • Lead the PMO for the Process Mining Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and value realization objectives.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization, providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
  • Manage communications and partnerships with vendors and external consultants to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to foster collaboration and enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level programs for PI&A, ensuring scalability, governance, and measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-based environment, contributing to shared goals and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize and coordinate competing initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and alignment with strategic objectives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience preferably in a PMO role
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient with Smartsheets, Miro, online collaboration tools
  • Ability to effectively deliver outcomes for the activities and objectives listed above
  • Experience with being a PMO for transformation teams will be an added benefit
