This role is primarily responsible for ensuring stable SAP operations, supporting business users, and continuously improving production planning and execution processes in a high-paced operational environment.
The position works closely with local operations and North America stakeholders, key users, and global SAP teams to ensure system reliability, production efficiency, and user adoption.
Duties:
The Sr. Professional SAP Specialist supports Production and Supply Chain Operations through the following key pillars:
1. SAP Functional Support
- Support daily operations within SAP ECC Production Planning (PP) module
- Analyze and resolve SAP-related issues impacting production planning and execution processes
- Ensure system stability and proper usage aligned with production and business requirements
- Collaborate with global SAP teams for incident resolution and knowledge sharing
2. Business Process Improvement
- Analyze current production planning and execution processes and identify improvement opportunities - Define and propose solutions aligned with operational and manufacturing needs
- Support implementation of enhancements, including testing and documentation
- Work closely with business stakeholders to align SAP functionality with shop floor and planning requirements
3. Operational Support (Shopfloor & Integration)
- Support production operations by ensuring proper execution of production orders and planning processes
- Assist in resolving issues related to material availability, production scheduling, order processing, and execution deviations
- Understand and support the integration between Production Planning (PP) and Warehouse Management (WM) processes, including material staging, goods issue, backflush, and inventory movements impacting production execution
- Coordinate and support resolution of issues impacting SAP-related processes across production and supply chain
- Assist users with transactional processes based on proper controls and authorizations
- Ensure continuity of production operations during critical manufacturing periods
4. Project & Continuous Improvement Support
- Participate in local or global initiatives as required (testing, training, documentation)
- Support rollout readiness by preparing users and validating system functionality
- Develop and track operational KPIs related to production performance and planning accuracy
- Provide training and continuous guidance to planners, supervisors, and shop floor associates
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of SAP ECC experience in Production Planning (PP)
• Strong understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of integration between Production Planning (PP) and Warehouse Management (WM) processes is required
• Experience working with SAP integration points (MM, WM, SD, QM) is a plus
• Experience in S/4HANA Production Planning or EWM integration is desirable but not required
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in operational environments
• Experience supporting end users and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to translate business needs into effective SAP solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot) is a plus
• Experience working in manufacturing environments
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Availability to support operations during critical production periods as needed
Technical Skills:
• SAP ECC Production Planning (PP) core experience required
• Functional knowledge of SAP processes and integrations
• Configuration knowledge is a plus but not required
• No programming skills required
General:
• Technical and functional skills validation will be part of the hiring process

• May provide guidance and training to planners, supervisors, and business users
