The Sr Production Planner drives pre-production and production planning and delivery execution, ensures logistic compliance, and communicates production and delivery status to relevant departments. Assists in the management of production projects and initiative implementation.
Responsibilities:
5-10% Provides guidance to lower level professional staff.
10-15% Leads the production team on specific tasks or projects. Leads process improvement, vendor development, and initiative implementation. Contributes to complex projects and carries out assignments independently.
15-20% Solves moderately complex production problems and develops creative solutions based on the evaluation of multiple options. Uses expertise to influence decisions. Ensures continuous improvement in delivery performance for assigned vendors to meet production goals.
10-15% Reviews and analyzes production reports with vendors. Communicates issues to relevant departments. Keeps internal systems and related LOs/HO updated accurately in timely manner. Proactively identifies and addresses production and capacity issues. Ensures that factory corrective action plans are established and follows up as needed.
10-15% Provides vendors with updates for any relevant production documents and ensures that vendors follow accordingly. Frequently visits factories to review production status and work with vendors on issue prevention and resolution.
5-10% Motivates partnership enhancement and reconciles discrepancies or arguments that might affect garment delivery and quality. Establishes and maintains partnerships with related cross-functional departments in the organization and other business partners.
5-10% Works with the vendor logistics team to ensure vendor compliance, shipping document accuracy, and payment settlement in system.
5-10% Manages production exceptions.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job.
