Sr Product Support Engineer

Handling and execution of MARC contract of Joy Global Surface Mining Machines by providing Mechanical Engineering Support

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Attending to various service matters pertaining to various Joy Global surface mining equipment that would include machine inspection, handling warranty issues and providing after-sales support for preferably Electric Rope shovels of capacity above 10 CuM.
  • Maintain high level of safety and security standards and focus through the establishment of safe operating procedures, providing PPE and conducting regular safety meetings at the project site.
  • Work in close coordination with Regional Manager – LCM Project located at Bilaspur.
  • Work in close coordination with other departments including extending/drawing full support to/from cross-functional teams within the company to achieve the desired results.
  • Active participation in service support against MARC contract already in existence in India.
  • Responsible for spare parts business generation in coordination with the MARC team.
  • Preparation of Yearly Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts, its tracking and achievement, in coordination with the MARC team.
  • Work in close coordination with MARC team located at Korba.

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have more than 8 Years of Experience in testing, trouble shooting and general maintenance of HEMM preferably Electric Rope shovels of capacity above 10 CuM
  2. He should be willing to work in remote mine site locations.
  3. Hands -on expertise in diagnosing mechanical defects on equipment’s and implementing corrective measures.
  4. Should have the ability to support equipment upgrades, modifications, major rehabilitation of equipment’s and new Electric Rope shovel Installations.
  5. Should have the ability to lead and motivate team, ensure optimal performance of equipment in LCM Contracts, safety at work site for self and team.
  6. Customer handling & maintains good rapport with customer.
  7. Need to be adept in Inventory Management, Parts planning and forecasting.
  8. Should have soft skills which includes familiarity with software used for diagnosis of equipment, job scheduling, efficient report writing, knowledge in all seven MS office software.
  9. Experience and Knowledge in Repair / Reclamation of EMS Dipper, planetary gear boxes, screw compressors, preferred.
  10. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
