We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the role:

The Senior Product Owner, Fraud Platform, is accountable for the governance, prioritization, value realization, operational readiness, and business outcomes of the Fraud platform and supporting payment integrations. The role translates fraud, payments, and operational requirements into a strategic roadmap and actionable backlog while ensuring solutions remain resilient, governed, auditable, supportable, and aligned to enterprise objectives.

About the day-to-day:

• Own platform strategy, roadmap, backlog, and value realization.
• Lead prioritization across fraud operations, Peoples Group’s customers and partners, operational, and technology objectives.
• Approve scope, sequencing, release recommendations, and business go-live decisions.
• Own Fraud Engine rule governance, model governance, threshold tuning, and fraud control changes.
• Own stakeholder management across Fraud Operations, Payments, Technology, and external vendors.
• Ensure business readiness, UAT approval, operational acceptance, and transition to BAU.
• Provide product governance for change management, configuration controls, release approvals, and audit readiness.
• Set business priorities for incidents, service recovery, disaster recovery, and vendor escalations.

Key Decision Rights

• Prioritize roadmap, initiatives, and backlog.
• Approve scope and release recommendations.
• Approve governed business rules, controls, and configuration changes within the Fraud Platform.
• Validate Fraud threshold changes and creation of new rules.
• Accept or reject UAT and business readiness outcomes.
• Set priorities during incidents and vendor escalations.
• Escalate unresolved risk, dependency, or value conflicts.

About the qualifications:

• 7+ years in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Technology Delivery.
• Experience in fraud, payments, risk, compliance, or financial services.
• Experience managing enterprise platforms in regulated environments.
• Proven success leading matrixed teams and complex delivery programs.

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Hiring process:

Compensation:

The expected salary for this role is approximately $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
