About the role and team

Product at Uber means making big decisions without perfect information—and owning the outcomes. As a Senior Product Manager (Tech), you will turn massive complexity into clarity at speed, navigating the "messy" reality of multi-sided marketplaces and high-stakes technical integrations. You will be at the heart of our most ambitious missions, architecting solutions that bridge the digital and physical worlds for millions of users globally.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you won’t just manage a roadmap; you will build 0-to-1 platforms that bridge the digital and physical worlds. You’ll need to lead through influence, not control, and stay resilient while balancing the needs of external partners, engineering teams, and global business units. If you are a curious, owner-minded product leader who is energized by challenge and motivated by real-world impact—this is where you’ll grow.

What you’ll do

  • Build a bold product vision and strategy for your domain, identifying near and long-term initiatives that unlock the next wave of Uber’s global growth.
  • Design and ship scalable technology solutions—including APIs, orchestration layers, and developer tools—to deeply interpret and respond to complex marketplace signals.
  • Navigate and align cross-functional teams across Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Legal to drive cohesive product strategies despite competing priorities.
  • Translate unstructured user pain points into clear product requirements by distilling complex problems, writing hypotheses, and defining measurable outcomes.
  • Forge and manage strategic relationships with external partners, fintechs, or autonomous technology providers to scale deployments and optimize global operations.
  • Iterate relentlessly by distilling insights from performance dashboards, experimentation results, and user research to continuously raise the bar for quality and reliability.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6 + years of experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record of shipping large-scale projects each quarter that yield quantifiable impact.
  • Proven ability to convert unstructured problems with significant ambiguity into clarifying, focused plans for multi-team projects.
  • Strong technical depth: Able to coordinate large engineering efforts, identify potential technical risks, and act as an effective partner for engineering managers across teams.
  • Experience defining OKRs and roadmaps for complex programs/platforms, ensuring teams operate with minimal noise and a rapid clip of high-quality delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership in overseeing deeply experimental teams, partnering with data science managers to drive strong experimentation and data-driven prioritization.
  • Proficient in UX/UI paradigms: Ability to own the design process for complex products, providing deep context to designers while driving fast iteration cycles for new concepts.
  • Experience representing significant areas of work to executives to gather feedback, generate alignment, and garner support.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical/quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Financial Services, Autonomous Vehicles, or high-scale Marketplace mechanics.
  • Passionate about shipping "magical," defect-free products, overseeing quality monitoring, alerting, and retrospective processes.
  • Proven recruiter and mentor: Ability to successfully hire for the team and serve as a coveted member of all product interview loops.
  • Strategic 0-to-1 experience: Generating innovative ideas for new product areas and incorporating customer feedback into long-term visions.
  • Global experience: Building and launching products that bridge digital and physical worlds across diverse regional contexts.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
