Job Description

Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence team leverages natural language understanding, machine learning, and big data to help Alexa identify sensitive content. We build services and tools that let customers to have a fun engaging conversation with Alexa and enable other teams to manage sensitive content in Alexa traffic. We are a highly collaborative, fast moving, and fun team.
This role will be leading the development and launch of new features that will touch millions of Alexa customers worldwide. As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical in the team, you will own key products in the responsible AI space and their road maps from conception to launch and incremental feature additions, partner closely with engineering, science and other stakeholder teams to deliver on the products you own. You will regularly communicate with senior management on status, risks and product strategy.

Key job responsibilities
1. Independently envision and execute large projects from start to finish including customer problem discovery, data gathering and analysis, designing creative solutions, defining product requirements and managing technical execution.
2. Engage with science, engineering, and business stakeholders and customers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
3. Manage prioritization and trade-offs among competing high value opportunities.
4. Contribute to roadmap and OP1/OP2 planning.
5. Own leadership review documents including PRFAQs, vision documents, monthly or quarterly business reviews.

A day in the life
Each day can look different depending on the product lifecycle, but here's an example:
1. Review PRFAQ with senior leaders
2. Define product requirements for a new feature
3. Dive deep into a customer escalation with regards to existing functionality
4. Provide updates for a QBR/MBR
5. Analyze data to quantify impact from a recently launched feature

About the team
Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence team is responsible for providing the runtime enablers to keep Alexa engaging and compliant to our content policies, guard rails to prevent any non compliance and offline monitoring and learning.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
