Job Description

About the Role

Product at Uber means making big decisions without perfect information — and owning the outcomes. You’ll turn complexity into clarity at speed, navigate competing priorities, and lead through influence, not control.

Uber’s global Actioning team owns the core surfaces and systems that manage a user’s account lifecycle — from their "first trip" to critical account restrictions and potential reactivation. As Senior Product Manager for the Actioning Experience & Platform team, you will lead a portfolio of products spanning Rider, Eater, Driver, and Courier experiences. This is a high-visibility, high-stakes role where you will balance marketplace safety and operational health with world-class standards of fairness, empathy, and transparency.

You’ll navigate the messy reality of user anxiety during friction-heavy moments, making complex trade-offs between automated risk controls, policy enforcement, and user advocacy. If you are a principled, owner-minded product leader who stays steady under pressure and is energized by turning ambiguous, high-stakes challenges into seamless global products — this is where you’ll grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive product vision and strategy for the global account lifecycle, shifting platform mechanisms from reactive enforcement to fair, proactive user guidance.

  • Build and scale user-facing in-app hubs and complex backend architectures that power access management for millions of users worldwide.

  • Navigate ambiguous, high-stakes trade-offs across a multi-sided marketplace (Eaters, Riders, Drivers, Couriers) while balancing platform integrity, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Integrate AI-powered capabilities into user-facing interventions and internal workflows to improve resolution speed, decision accuracy, and operational fairness.

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Operations, and Legal through influence, clarity, and shared conviction.

  • Analyze complex marketplace signals and self-serve data metrics to inform product decisions, iterate relentlessly through experimentation, and measure real-world impact.

  • Prioritize ruthlessly in a fast-paced environment, converting unstructured user pain points and matrixed stakeholder needs into a focused, actionable roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience delivering high-impact user-facing or platform products in a fast-paced technology environment.

  • Proven ability to convert unstructured problems with significant ambiguity into clear execution plans across multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Strong data fluency with experience conducting self-serve analytics to evaluate hypotheses and drive complex product decisions.

  • Demonstrated user empathy with a track record of designing solutions that mitigate friction during critical moments of the user journey.

  • A hands-on bias for action, comfortable moving between high-level strategy and tactical execution (such as testing prototypes or auditing model inputs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations involving Product, Engineering, Legal, Public Policy, and Operations.

  • Strong UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating with User Research to build customer-obsessed features.

  • Domain knowledge of gig economy marketplace dynamics, risk systems, or fast-changing regulatory frameworks.

  • Experience building or deploying AI-enabled tooling or workflows to enhance user experience and operational scale.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
