We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of structured data, AI/ML, and search optimization—someone who can define the strategy, drive execution, and collaborate deeply with AI, data, and engineering teams to improve how millions of customers discover products.
In this high-agency, startup-like role, you’ll own and scale the AI-driven product knowledge ecosystem, ensuring our taxonomy, ontology, and catalog data power better search, recommendations, and personalization experiences!
We are seeking an experienced Product manager, who is passionate about data, search, recommendation, online commerce, AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and buyer experience, to join the Product team. The candidate should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and have experience defining requirements, driving cross team collaboration, and communicating with executives. In this role, you will work with product managers, engineers, applied researchers, user researchers, designers, and analytics teams to define solutions and make data-driven decisions. This person will be responsible for leveraging generative AI technology to revolutionize Product Knowledge based application cutting across Search, Recommendations and Personalized experiences for eBay to ensure the success of our AI-based features.
Responsibilities:
Assist built the product strategy and own the roadmap for products powered by generative AI that cut across the Product Knowledge organization powering applications across the e-commerce application stack - from retrieval to ads to experiences
Translate product strategy into clear and concise specifications, make functional and user interface design tradeoffs, handle product launches, and lead the product successes post-launch.
Data driven product decisions with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms
Communicate strategies and trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development teams
Put the customer first, understand market specific nuances, and identify algo improvements to address unique user & application specific needs
Drive collaboration across multiple teams to ensure teams are aligned and are working towards solving customer problems
Drive A/B testing to identify launch candidates that improve organizational goals
Preferred qualifications:
5+ years with a strong track record product management experience, having previous experience building customer centric products
2+ years of experience in AI/ML product management with specific emphasis on GenAI
A proven track record building new, innovative, and engaging customer experiences informed by customer data from various sources (market research, A/B testing, user research)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive decision making
Technically savvy (prefer a technical role in past, or Computer Science Degree)
Passionate advocate for user
Self-motivated and directed, entrepreneurial ability to innovate quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
