THE ROLE

As Senior Product Manager, Client AI Platforms & Software, you will lead end-to-end AI product planning for AMD Client platforms, shaping the intersection of silicon, software, AI ecosystems, and customer experiences.

This role is responsible for defining future AI platform requirements, translating customer and ecosystem needs into product strategy, and driving alignment across engineering, software, ecosystem, and go-to-market organizations. You will serve as the Client Business Unit lead for ROCm planning and AI software requirements, ensuring AMD's software investments align with the needs of future Client AI products.

You will own AI platform definition, workload strategy, AI performance planning, and software roadmap inputs while helping drive the next generation of AI experiences across AMD Client products. The role spans product conception through launch and requires close engagement with AI software teams, strategic ecosystem partners, OEMs, research teams and developers to ensure AMD delivers differentiated AI capabilities and measurable customer value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Platform Product Management

  • Define long-range AI platform requirements and product strategy for future Client AI products.
  • Author and maintain MRDs, PRDs, and platform requirements.
  • Define AI workloads, use cases, model requirements, and platform capabilities.
  • Translate customer, OEM, and ecosystem requirements into silicon and software investments.
  • Drive AI requirements through product planning, roadmap reviews, and phase-gate processes.

AI Performance Strategy & Product Readiness

  • Define AI benchmark methodologies and performance targets.
  • Lead performance attainment planning, rooflining, and competitive analysis.
  • Establish proof points that connect technical performance to customer value.
  • Drive workload characterization and launch-readiness assessments.
  • Develop performance stories and competitive positioning for launches.

ROCm Product Leadership

  • Serve as the Client Business Unit lead for ROCm planning and prioritization.
  • Drive Client AI requirements into ROCm roadmap discussions.
  • Define requirements for runtimes, frameworks, SDKs, and developer experiences.
  • Partner closely with ROCm engineering teams to align software investments with Client product needs.
  • Influence long-range AI software strategy and platform capabilities.

AI Software & Ecosystem Planning

  • Define software requirements across AI runtimes, frameworks, and applications.
  • Drive AI software roadmap planning and launch readiness.
  • Engage with OEMs, ISVs, and strategic partners to identify emerging workloads and requirements.
  • Support proof-of-concept activities that validate differentiated customer value.
  • Stay current with AI frameworks, developer ecosystems, and emerging Client AI use cases.

Launch & Go-To-Market Support

  • Develop whitepapers, proof points, competitive analysis, and launch assets.
  • Support customer engagements and ecosystem enablement activities.
  • Partner with marketing and business development teams to define AI messaging and product differentiation.
  • Translate technical capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous product management experience.
  • Experience defining products spanning hardware and software.
  • Strong understanding of AI workloads, inferencing, model deployment, and performance analysis.
  • Experience working with AI frameworks, developer platforms, runtimes, or AI software ecosystems.
  • Experience authoring MRDs, PRDs, competitive analyses, and technical strategy documents.
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks, SDKs, developer tools, and software platform planning.
  • Experience working with OEMs, ISVs, software partners, or platform ecosystems.
  • Background in Client computing, AI software, edge AI, machine learning platforms, or semiconductor product management preferred.

Success is measured by the ability to define clear AI platform requirements, drive aligned software and ecosystem investments, establish credible performance leadership, and translate future AI product strategy into execution-ready plans that accelerate AMD's leadership in Client AI.
