We have an opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our White Bear Township, MN team. You will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for life sciences products, including medical air, saline, and blood filtration solutions. This role will translate customer needs, market insights, regulatory considerations, and business objectives into prioritized product initiatives that deliver measurable customer and commercial value. The Senior Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, quality, regulatory, and senior leadership to guide products from discovery through launch, sustaining, optimization, and end-of-life planning. Secondary responsibilities may include mentoring product team members, supporting portfolio planning, contributing to business cases, and representing the product line in customer, commercial, and executive discussions

You will:

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for assigned life sciences product lines, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market opportunities
  • Lead market, customer, and competitive research to identify unmet needs, product gaps, and growth opportunities
  • Translate customer and business requirements into clear product requirements, value propositions, launch plans, and success metrics
  • Prioritize product initiatives, enhancements, and sustaining activities based on customer impact, commercial value, risk, feasibility, and resource capacity
  • Lead cross-functional teams through product discovery, development, validation, launch, post-launch performance review, and lifecycle optimization
  • Partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful product delivery and adoption
  • Develop business cases, pricing inputs, forecasts, launch readiness materials, and executive-level updates for product initiatives
  • Monitor product performance, customer satisfaction, revenue, margin, quality trends, and adoption metrics; use insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide product expertise for customer inquiries, sales enablement, training, and strategic account discussions
  • Mentor junior product managers or cross-functional team members and contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, commercial strategy, engineering, or related roles, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and lifecycle management
  • Experience managing regulated, technical, medical device, healthcare, life sciences, filtration, or industrial products
  • Demonstrated ability to build product roadmaps, develop business cases, prioritize initiatives, and make data-informed tradeoff decisions
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence engineering, commercial, operations, quality, regulatory, and executive stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong understanding of customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, segmentation, pricing, launch planning, and product performance measurement
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical and commercial topics to varied audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment while maintaining focus on customer value, business outcomes, quality, and compliance
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 510(k), or other medical device regulatory and quality management processes
  • Experience with product portfolio management, stage-gate processes, or lifecycle management frameworks
  • Experience developing go-to-market plans, sales enablement materials, pricing recommendations, or commercial launch strategies
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, product analytics, voice-of-customer, or product lifecycle management tools
  • Commercial and technical risk assessment experience
  • Availability to travel as needed (20%) to support customers, sites, suppliers, and industry events

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95500 - $177300 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
