Overview

Sr. Manager Product Management

Role Summary

Catalyst Brands is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management - Digital to lead a team of product managers and drive the strategy, evolution, and performance of digital products across our growing retail ecosystem.

You will own a defined product domain, set priorities, manage investments, and partner across business and technology teams to deliver capabilities that enhance the customer experience and drive measurable business results.

This role requires more than traditional Product Management. You will lead and develop your team while also managing product budgets, technology investments, third-party vendors, and strategic partners - balancing innovation, operational complexity, seasonal demands, and commercial performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong retail product experience, commercial judgment, and the ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders while moving seamlessly between strategy, financial management, vendor leadership, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Product Management team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance goals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set the product strategy and roadmap for assigned digital capabilities, translating retail business objectives, customer needs, market trends, and technology opportunities into prioritized multi-year and annual plans.
  • Partner with Brand and enterprise leaders to understand merchandising, customer, market, and commercial priorities, balancing brand-specific needs with opportunities for enterprise standardization, scalability, and reuse.
  • Define product outcomes and success measures, using customer behavior, research, VOC, analytics, and retail insights to identify opportunities and inform roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Manage product budgets and investments, developing annual operating and investment plans, evaluating business cases, tracking spend and ROI, and balancing internal development, third-party solutions, and shared platforms to maximize business value.
  • Lead strategic vendor and technology partner relationships, establishing objectives, KPIs, SLAs, and performance expectations while ensuring partner roadmaps and investments align with product strategy and business outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional execution and roadmap governance, maintaining visibility into commitments, dependencies, risks, investments, and outcomes across Pr product, Technology, vendors, and Brand teams.
  • Incorporate retail operating realities into product planning, including seasonality, promotional calendars, peak trading periods, operational constraints, and the need to balance near-term performance with long-term platform strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the digital customer experience and commercial performance, connecting product investments to outcomes such as conversion, revenue, AOV, engagement, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies across digital commerce, including search, recommendations, personalization, conversational commerce, content intelligence, and AI-powered customer experiences.
  • Establish and manage the product performance and executive reporting cadence, defining KPIs and dashboards and preparing QBRs, executive updates, and leadership presentations to communicate performance, progress, risks, investment needs, and business impact.
  • Drive prioritization and senior stakeholder alignment across the product portfolio, balancing customer value, commercial impact, strategic importance, investment, complexity, and organizational capacity to make informed tradeoff decisions.
  • Strengthen product capabilities across Catalyst Brands by coaching and developing Product Managers, raising standards for product thinking, customer discovery, commercial accountability, and execution, and contributing to the evolution of the Product Operating Model and Product Center of Excellence.

Qualifications – Experience & Capabilities

  • 7–10+ years of progressive Product Management experience, including significant experience leading digital products or product domains in retail, ecommerce, apparel, consumer products, or another high-volume consumer-facing business.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing Product Managers and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic and commercial product leadership, with experience developing roadmaps, prioritizing investments, and delivering measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience managing product budgets and investments, including forecasting, business cases, spend management, ROI evaluation, and investment tradeoffs.
  • Experience leading third-party technology vendors and strategic partners, including managing relationships, performance, roadmaps, and business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of retail and ecommerce customer journeys, with experience using data, analytics, experimentation, and customer insights to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Proven ability to operate in complex, matrixed organizations, partnering across Brand, Technology, Digital, and business functions while influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment.
  • Strong analytical, financial, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with experience defining KPIs, measuring performance, and translating insights into action.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with strong written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working across multiple retail brands or business units.
  • Experience with search, personalization, recommendations, merchandising, mobile commerce, checkout, loyalty, customer accounts, or digital customer experience.
  • Experience managing SaaS, ecommerce, MarTech, customer experience, analytics, or AI vendors.
  • Experience negotiating or managing significant technology contracts.
  • Experience with Product PODs and modern Product Operating Models.
  • Experience with AI-enabled products, generative AI, machine learning, or intelligent commerce.
  • Familiarity with composable commerce, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern digital architectures.
