Generic Description:
Acts as the technical liaison between the NPI (New Product Introduction) area and the Production departments to successfully introduce new products on time and according to plan into the production stage at WNC Juárez, as well as to support existing products in all matters related to the technical aspect.

Main Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

• Maintain communication between the design teams (U.S.A.) and the Juárez manufacturing site.
• Responsible for managing the transition of technical aspects related to the product from its introduction phase through implementation and/or release to production.
• Provide technical support to various departments during pilot runs by supplying electrical specifications for new components, electrical diagrams, etc.
• Provide the necessary technical support to manufacturing areas for existing models to maintain the quality and delivery levels required by customers.
• Act as a liaison to resolve any design-related issues affecting production lines (downtime), scrap, production volume, and/or field issues.
• Responsible for the implementation of engineering changes (ECR, ECO, and/or MCO) and ensuring their correct execution.
• Assist in failure analysis for production areas and/or rejections found during Quality Control audits.
• Provide technical support for new projects.
• Maintain direct communication with suppliers in case of discrepancies with materials used in the plant.
• Make technical recommendations to improve the manufacturing processes of each of our products.
• Design and establish control mechanisms that enable detection, analysis, and action-taking.
• Plan and manage the resources related to equipment, machinery, and tools used in the area.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• PM certification.
• Ability to analyze and identify areas of opportunity in product design and manufacturing, promoting actions that contribute to continuous improvement.
• Experience working with production and design teams to suggest product modifications when abnormal situations are identified in production processes.
• Valid visa.
