Your Job

We are seeking a proactive and innovative mechanical engineer to support the development and scale-up of Molex’s Taiwan RF Test & Measurement Center of Excellence. In this role, you will lead mechanical design for RF connectors, cable assemblies, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE), while collaborating with cross-functional global teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.

You will contribute to concept development, product validation, and design optimization, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and scalability aligned with Molex’s continued growth.

What You Will Do:

· Design of RF connectors, cable assemblies, and custom mechanical assemblies for ATE (Automated Test Equipment)

· Lead conceptual innovation process, prototyping and validation for new products

· Perform and support tolerance analysis, GD&T, and Mechanical FEA to ensure performance and durability

· Partner with Electrical Engineering to optimize electrical performance of concepts & prototypes

· Cross-functional team collaboration across our global RF Segment design and manufacturing footprints

· Writing of conceptual, design, EV, DV and qualification reports for internal and external use

· Communication with internal peers/partners and external stakeholders (Suppliers and Customers)

· Oversight and mentoring of junior engineers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

· 5–8+ years of experience in mechanical design of RF connectors, cable assemblies, or ATE systems

· Strong 3D CAD modeling skills (NX preferred, also Creo/SolidWorks)

· Solid understanding of materials and mechanical design practices that impact RF electrical performance

· Expertise in statistical tolerance analysis and interpretation of results

· Experience leading DFM processes and managing manufacturability considerations

· Strong knowledge of mechanical FEA for stress/strain and reliability analysis

· Experience in risk assessment and mitigation during design and manufacturing phases

· Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods

· Experience with precision manufacturing and assembly processes, particularly CNC machining for tight tolerance control

· Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
