Job Description

Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and plant performance.
  • Analyze, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes using engineering principles, data analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement process modifications, equipment upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process maps.
  • Support new product introductions, process transfers, and scale-up activities in collaboration with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve process, equipment, and quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through waste reduction, bottleneck elimination, process standardization, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Manage projects from concept through implementation, including scope development, timelines, performance metrics, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support equipment qualification, validation activities, and process capability studies.
  • Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, mechanical integrity, and effective asset utilization.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to operations personnel, technicians, and other engineering staff.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to specify, evaluate, and procure equipment, materials, and services.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality requirements while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and project management.
  • Proficiency with process flow development, engineering calculations, and data analysis.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working in or directly supporting manufacturing operations, including production troubleshooting, batch support, engineering trials, process improvement, process development or commercialization.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, Lean or Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, process capability and ISO systems
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
