The Life Cycle Engineering Department supports the design, construction and test of in-service Navy DDG 51 and DDG 1000 surface combatants in multiple locations around the world. Our Functional Engineering group is seeking an experienced Hull/Structure Engineer to join our team. This role supports structural analysis of design modifications for ship alterations, assists Navy counterparts with evaluation of hull structure and foundation changes required for modernization of the DDG 51 and 1000 classesOperating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Hull/Structure Principal Engineer ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones.
