Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Senior Principal Enterprise-Wide Applications Analyst to support its Enterprise Resource Planning organization as a SAP Basis Administrator with Business Technology Platform focus.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services 1ERP Operations team. Through this role they will support a varied set of systems utilizing the newest technology in Operating Systems, Utilities, and Hardware for SAP S/4 and BTP applications. This is a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers, and other developers.

This position will be virtual/remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities may include any or all of the following areas:

  • Maintain daily on-going operational support for state of the art on premise, hybrid, and cloud SAP environments (including NetWeaver and BTP) on RedHat Linux operating systems utilizing SAP HANA.

  • Provide daily technical administration support for SAP applications.

  • Research and resolve IT-related problems.

  • Develop and maintain scripts for Linux environments for system housekeeping, monitoring, backups, in-house applications, and secure file transfer.

  • Generate recommendations for and implement process improvements.

  • Apply advanced SAP technical principles, theories and concepts.

  • Provide SAP & third party interface software version updates and coordinate implementation of fixes/changes to application interfaces and application client installations.

  • Install SAP software patches and/or updates.

  • Perform proactive review of systems performance metrics and alerts to ensure event correlation and trend analysis are performed on a regular basis.

  • Review system logs to identify signs of potential problems.

  • Evaluate software or system releases to determine compatibility.

  • Coordinate system tuning to improve operational capabilities.

  • Document systems infrastructure and maintain an accurate hardware and software inventory.

  • Work on unusually complex technical problems to provide solutions which are highly innovative.

  • Oversee Project completion and interface with Business Partners regarding projects.

  • Monitor and tune the SAP landscapes to achieve optimum performance levels.

  • Technical IT consulting on SAP related projects.

  • Perform Capacity Planning across the SAP landscapes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information System Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; 6 Years with a Masters; 4 Years with a PhD.

  • IT experience required.

  • MS 365 familiarity .

  • Ability to provide on-call 24x7 support.

  • SAP Administration and BTP experience on commercial and NS2 cloud.

  • BTP Onboarding, entitlement management, and provisioning.

  • Experience supporting Integration Suite, CTMS, and single sign on.

  • Familiar with SAP architecture on premise, Commercial, and NS2 cloud.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Basis Administration work experience supporting SAP S/4 on HANA.

  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.

  • Experience supporting SAP infrastructure and in a hybrid cloud model.

  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.

  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.

  • Experience in Implementing Improvements in SAP Environments.

  • Experience with RedHat Linux.

  • Experience with HANA.

  • Familiarity with SAPGUI and Fiori functionality.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
