Job Description

We are recruiting a Sr. Pricing Analyst to join our Strategic Pricing team within the Global RGM organization. This position will support and provide pricing and profitability insights for CHG’s Commercial teams including Marketing/Category Management and Sales teams. The Sr. Pricing Analyst supports pricing strategy and execution including the ongoing margin and mix management, incorporated into CHG’s overall vision and Strategy. You will collaborate with commercial teams, Finance, Executives, Supply Chain (all in the Revenue CoE) to operationalize category pricing and value strategies by executing and managing contractually negotiated prices through automation processes. The individual will need to apply analytics and strong economic thinking to identify potential opportunities, operationalize sourcing strategies, and clearly communicate insights to a broad set of stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in the development of CHG’s pricing strategies through data and analytics for new and existing customer and category pricing, optimized for market competitiveness, profitable margins and customer ‘willingness to pay’ maximization in alignment with CHG’s Commercial strategy(ies).
  • Develop Pricing Guidance.
  • Manage the pricing lifecycle for CHG’s products and services.
  • Utilize insights to determine optimal pricing relationships between items, categories, customers, competitors and sales channels.
  • Develops and maintains reporting using SQL queries and data visualization tools such as Tableau (Desktop and Server) and Excel
  • Automates and manages daily and weekly reporting using SQL, Python, and other available BI tools.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements.
  • Leads and executes analytical special projects involving moderate to high complexity.
  • Analyzes and interprets large datasets with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Presents findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Set standards for pricing with your analyses and ensure the achievements of defined targets.
  • Responsible for market and profit-oriented category, product and pricing and develop strategies to achieve market share, sales and margin targets.
  • Create pricing models for various customer segments and implement new products in the area of pricing.
  • Make systematic observations, analyses and profitability checks of CHG’s markets with respect to current market prices and sales data.
  • Participate in the design of internal reporting systems and the implementation of relevant ad hoc analyses.
  • Deal and Contract management.
    • Maintain integrity of contract terms.
    • Maintenance for Foodservice Chain Account private label contracts (all Foodservice Channels). Pricing to maintain or expand margin based on channel operating plan.
    • Maintain adequate timeline for renewal contracts to cover costs variances.
  • Manage, review and research Bill of Materials prices, costs, and areas of opportunity through SAP standards, with Purchasing, R&D and Logistics teams.
  • Communicate with Cost Accounting and manufacturing teams to prioritize requests and ensure timelines are met.
  • Manage the pricing review, renewal, and implementation process with guidance from the Sr. Director GRGM.
  • Create and submit pricing proposals and contracts for customer dispersal by Sales Managers.
  • Review of freight and freight costs pertinent to contract pricing in conjunction with the operations Logistics team and tied to CHG’s Pricing structure (bracket pricing), architecture and governance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and tools used to measure success of pricing changes and customer reports.
  • XSPEC/PLM Database support:
    • SAP Pricing database management
    • Enter and maintain price contracts into the contract database.
    • Research pricing discrepancies and manage solutions.
    • SAP Pricing Subject Matter Expert,
    • Participate in SAP pricing solution events or enhancements and in M&A SAP related transitions.
  • Problem solve pricing set-up and execution challenges.
  • Provide support to ONECHG fellow associates on master price uploads.
  • Provide support and consult on Cost Analysis tool upgrades.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Statistics, Marketing Analytics or related field
  • 5 -7 years in Revenue Growth Management, Strategic Pricing, CPG, Food and Beverage.
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) is also an added advantage.
  • 3 Years Experience in Pricing, Data Analytics, Finance, Omni-channel, or related pricing and promotion field. Experience working in cross functional teams, data elements or financial metrics analyses.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.
  • Demonstrated leadership and possesses the ability to develop cross functional relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in the Revenue Center of Excellence (RCoE).
  • Must be able to persuade functional departments to act without authority over these groups.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and consultants ranging from entry level to executive level positions.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments including but not limited to Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, Purchasing, R & D, and Information Services.
  • Ability to develop and manage methods to track projects and understand costs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer that may require repetitive tasks, such as data entry and report generation.

$82,757.00 - $150,222.00

Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
