Job Description

Senior People & Organization Manager

Beijing, China

Shape the frameworks and programmes that help thousands of colleagues across China grow, thrive and do their best work – in a company redefining what's possible in global healthcare.

Your new role

As a Senior P&O Manager in Region China, you will take ownership of one or more specialist areas – spanning talent development and culture promotion, organization design, people policy governance and employee relations – and turn strategic P&O priorities into practical, implementable solutions that make a real difference to leaders, managers and employees on the ground.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing and continuously improving talent development programmes and processes that align with both business priorities and the evolving needs of our people across China
  • Coordinating talent reviews, succession planning activities and development follow-up, ensuring rigour, consistency and clear documentation throughout
  • Supporting organization design and effectiveness initiatives by conducting organizational analysis, preparing design options and coordinating the implementation of approved changes
  • Owning or coordinating assigned P&O policies and related processes – maintaining content, driving periodic reviews, proposing updates and providing professional guidance on interpretation and consistent application
  • Advising and supporting leaders and managers on people-related matters, bringing subject matter expertise and sound judgement to sensitive situations
  • Partnering with P&O colleagues, Legal, shared service teams, Centres of Excellence and external providers to deliver seamless, high-quality outcomes across a complex stakeholder landscape

Your new department

In People & Organization you will be part of a team that enhances employee engagement and attracts top talent to ensure Novo Nordisk remains a premier choice for exceptional individuals. Together, we foster an inclusive workplace culture that empowers individuals to thrive, and supports our mission to make a positive impact on people's lives.

Within this area, the Region China P&O team partners closely with the business to translate global people priorities into locally relevant action. You will join a team of dedicated professionals who combine deep functional expertise with a genuine commitment to building an organization where people can grow, belong and deliver meaningful impact.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a seasoned P&O professional who combines deep specialist knowledge with the consulting mindset and stakeholder credibility needed to drive change independently in a fast-moving environment. You will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, organizational development, business administration or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or professional qualification is an advantage
  • Solid professional experience in at least one of the following: talent development, organization development and design, people policy governance or employee relations
  • A track record of independently managing P&O programmes, processes or projects involving multiple stakeholders – including translating business or organizational needs into practical talent, organization or policy solutions
  • Strong analytical, structured problem-solving and project management skills, paired with the ability to communicate professional recommendations clearly and credibly
  • Proven facilitation, consulting and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to influence stakeholders holding different perspectives and the sound judgement to handle sensitive employee or organizational information with care
  • Experience operating in a cross-functional or multi-location stakeholder environment is preferred
