About the team and the role:

eBay's Global Focus Categories (GFC) division is a major, rapidly growing business that serves as the company's growth engine, fueling flagship categories worth billions of dollars. Our strategic vision for the future is to achieve substantial growth by growing into new buyer and seller segments, developing sophisticated operating model capabilities, and launching our offerings across a wider range of retail platforms.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will serve as the guide on our quantitative insights platform, directly influencing the global focus category vision and strategy. You will be responsible for driving the execution of multiple product initiatives within a matrix organization for the global focus categories. This role is based in Toronto and will own globally relevant product problem spaces for eBay, partnering closely with teams across the US, India and other regions.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead our product strategy and execution for quantitative insights and marketplace initiatives supporting Global Focus Categories

  • Build and implement a compelling roadmap supporting our Global Focus Categories marketplace business growth goals

  • Drive innovative experiences by using data and AI-driven insights to improve buying and selling experiences across GFC

  • Collaborate with researchers, analysts, designers and engineers charged with improving Global Focus category experiences

  • Be accountable for the articulation and the execution of the product strategy. Communicate team status and priorities to executives, partner teams, and the wider product team

  • Drive continuous innovation and strengthen the foundation of our product delivery operations, spanning from sprint reviews to the 'definition of done.'

  • Work with the global teams located in India, Europe and North America to drive multiple parallel initiatives

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of experience as a technical product leader, with significant time and success in large scale enterprise, ideally eCommerce or marketplace company

  • Successful track record leading product development in online shopping experiences

  • Experience successfully leading multiple projects from concept to delivery while meeting schedules and business goals

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable

  • Strong analytical and product discovery skills, with experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to drive prioritization and decision-making

  • Experience in ecommerce and/or familiarity with the parts, fashion or collectibles industry selling and buying standards and terminology is a plus

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

C$133,200 - C$177,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
