About the role:

The Sr. Production Planner is responsible for scheduling finished goods and semi-finished products. Releases raw materials and packaging from our contracted suppliers via SAP. Manage the availability of ingredients and FG products to ensure high customer service with the lowest possible inventory. Set inventory control parameters for our distribution center by executing the agreed Finished Goods Strategy at the product/location level. Identify slow-moving stock and define and initiate actions to remove and prevent the recreation of slow-moving stock. Ensure that operational Key Performance Indicators are met, initiation of improvement plans when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Short and Medium Term process for factory planning
  • Establish, coordinate, and organize Customer requirements for the production lines
  • Recommend/ coordinate overtime with Production as needed
  • Communicate and commit product availability dates to our Customer Service team
  • Communicate with Customer Service, Logistics, and Production regarding any relevant changes and updates
  • Manage and schedule rework, including new line trials, efficiently for production
  • Manage and maintain SAP/ MRP
  • Manage inventory levels for safety stock for raw materials
  • Point person for liquid orders with continual Key Customer interaction
  • Work closely with Production personnel to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Expected to communicate the impact of scheduling changes to the immediate manager
  • Ensures that key floor constraints are considered when creating schedules
  • Manage customer requirements, including factory schedules/production, planning, and order integrity by directing manufacturing and logistics to optimize supply chain availability.
  • Intercompany CSR and contact for planning purposes

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years in a supply chain environment.
  • Required SAP experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to be cross-trained by other team members to fill in when necessary
  • Ability to manage and progress multiple projects simultaneously
