Sr. Planner – Indianola, PA

PURPOSE

The Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, reliably, and on time. This position is responsible for translating demand into executable production plans by balancing capacity, materials, and resources across a dynamic manufacturing environment. Working closely with production, quality, engineering, logistics, and supply chain partners, the Production Planner drives schedule adherence, identifies risks and constraints, and uses data-driven insights to optimize performance, control costs, and support continuous improvement—ultimately enabling a resilient supply chain and consistent customer delivery.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify projects and initiatives to increase efficiencies and drives resolution of detailed plans for assigned planning area of responsibility, necessary to achieve customer delivery commitments and to maintain inventory targets, where applicable;
  • Develop alternative solutions for the analysis of supply shortfalls impacting internal and/or external customer requirements and ensure root cause identification, corrective action determination and implementation;
  • Handle complex planning problems independently, utilizing financial, operational and business judgment and the ability to adapt to ambiguous conditions;
  • Responsible for and maintains SAP planning parameters for assigned area of responsibility;
  • Utilizes delegation to expand scope of influence.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS required in (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, Information Technology);
  • 5+ years total experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a Product Supply discipline;
  • Excellent presentation, training, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance;
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization;
  • Ability to manage projects of high complexity with no or limited direction;
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools;
  • Proficient in SAP in various modules (MM/PP/WM).

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $84,000.00 to $126,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
