Position Specific Description

RNG Landfill Operations: Renewable natural gas (RNG) landfill recovery captures methane-rich landfill gas produced by decomposing organic waste and routes it through collection, compression, and treatment systems. Moisture, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, siloxanes, volatile organic compounds, nitrogen, oxygen, and other contaminants are removed to produce pipeline-quality gas. Once the RNG meets interconnect specifications, pipeline controllers coordinate nominations, monitor SCADA pressures and flows, verify gas quality and line balance, manage alarms and abnormal conditions, and communicate with landfill facilities and interconnecting pipelines to support safe, reliable injection and transportation.

Gas Pipeline Operations: Natural gas pipelines supply power plants with the fuel needed for reliable electricity generation. Pipeline controllers coordinate daily nominations and hourly delivery profiles, monitor SCADA pressures, flows, temperatures, valve positions, compressor performance, and line pack, and adjust operations to meet changing plant demand while remaining within pipeline operating limits. They verify custody-transfer measurements, maintain line balance, communicate with gas schedulers, field personnel, and interconnecting pipelines, and respond to alarms, equipment issues, or supply disruptions to support safe, continuous, and dependable fuel delivery.

Position Specific Description

This position sits within the Power Generation Division in support of the Net Midstream operations. In addition to the job description below you will also be responsible for the following:

• Calculates flow volumes to work with interconnect companies on daily nominations
• Maintain appropriate records ( CRM, Controller Training, SCADA, etc.)
• Works on line balances, LAUF, and other pertinent information related to a pipeline controller
• Reads and understands P&ID’s
• Schedules routine maintenance on pipelines with schedulers and interconnecting pipeline companies

Job Overview

Employees in this role monitor supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) to transport and compress natural gas via pipeline, as well as receive and transfer fuels via pipeline in compliance with applicable plans.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under limited supervision:

• Calculates flow volumes and blend rates
• Maintain appropriate records
• Understands local, state and federal oil spill regulations regarding mitigation and cleanup
• Works as a company liaison with contractors
• Understands the principles of fluid flows (pipes, pumps, valves, pressures)
• Reads and understands blueprints
• Schedules routine maintenance including obtaining parts and equipment as necessary
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Associate's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 5+ years
