Job Description

OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE

Help DE and EC create and modify schematics, PCB matrix, change history and ECN/ECR.
CAD is a key role to control and maintain the versions of all documentations and components.

ECAD and MCAD collaboration to complete PCB package design while meeting internal and external requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and follow up project of switched mode power supplies development

  • PCB layout design to meet customer spec requirement and AEI DFM standards
  • Create and modify schematics
  • Co-operate with EE, ME, Mag to finish design checklists after new version PCB layout done
  • Take lead of PCB related DFM issue, collaborate with function team to drive issue closure

Documentation and report

  • Engineer change requirement check
  • PCB layout change report
  • CAD checklist, MVR and Valor report

Design support

  • Works with PM, support teams and factory to ensure smooth development
  • Sustaining project support

Others

  • New component PCB block building by AEI standard
  • Safety/regulatory knowledge
  • Low noise layout knowledge
  • Knowledge of industry standard such as, but not limited to, IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600F, IPC9592 and UL840 etc.
  • Ensure team members are aware of impending risks to cost, quality & schedule
  • Review factory DFM report and close out design related issues to attain passing rating

  • PCB Layout program such as Cadence, CAM350, etc.
