Job Description

  • Would you like to be the go-to person for electrical inquiries and design topics at our new production site in Richmond, Virginia? This is a phenomenal opportunity to bring your broad electrical knowledge and quality-driven mindset into play as you support the commissioning of our state-of-the-art, high-tech facility — where we're taking automation to the next level. Our global Operational Technology team delivers manufacturing innovation through collaboration, technical excellence, and a relentless focus on quality. As we establish our newest production site in Richmond, Virginia, we need a dedicated electrical expert on the ground.
  • As Sr Operations Technology Excellence Manager, you will be part of the global Operations Technology Engineering team while serving as the primary electrical contact point for the LVA site. This is a 2-year assignment aligned with the commissioning phase, a critical window where your expertise will build the electrical foundation of our facility.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the electrical domain expert for automated machinery and primary contact point for the LVA site.
  • Ensure compliance with UL technical legislation and applicable US electrical codes.
  • Act as an informal leader, driving progress and resolving obstacles through expertise and influence.
  • Engage and align partners through clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Review electrical builds for automated machinery, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
  • Guide mitigation strategies for build flaws and integration challenges.
  • Provide expert input on electrical distribution system compose.
  • Collaborate with global OT Engineering colleagues to align with enterprise standards.

Are you up for the challenge?

  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong expertise in UL standards and US electrical codes.
  • Familiarity with CE marking and European machine design standards.
  • Previous commissioning experience in greenfield manufacturing sites preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical design evaluation and risk mitigation.
  • Experience from packing or discrete automation environments desirable.
  • Travel up to 50 days p/year.
