Job Description

About the Role

Uber is transforming the way people access what they need, when they need it — from their favorite meals to everyday essentials and groceries. Working at Uber means unlocking endless possibilities, not just for consumers, but also for merchants looking to grow their businesses and delivery partners seeking flexible earning opportunities.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Spain Merchant Operations team, whose mission is to drive merchant success by unlocking growth opportunities, delivering a seamless merchant experience, and building scalable, efficient operations throughout the entire merchant lifecycle.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy, analytics, and operational execution, working closely with our Commercial teams to turn strategic priorities into actionable initiatives that drive merchant growth and operational excellence.

You will have the opportunity to tackle complex business challenges, leverage data to uncover opportunities, and design and implement innovative solutions that improve the way we operate. From optimizing merchant onboarding and lifecycle processes to enabling new growth initiatives, your work will have a direct impact on the success of our merchant partners and the broader Uber Eats business.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Merchant Growth & Success: Work hand-in-hand with Commercial teams to enable strategic initiatives, identify growth opportunities, remove operational barriers, and build solutions that help our merchant partners thrive on the platform.
  • Data Analysis & Business Insights: Leverage data to understand business performance, identify trends and opportunities, diagnose operational challenges, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive business decisions.
  • Process Creation & Optimization: Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes, workflows, and tools that increase operational efficiency, reduce friction, and support business growth.
  • Project Management & Execution: Own projects end-to-end, from problem identification and solution design to implementation and impact measurement. Define clear KPIs, align stakeholders, and ensure effective execution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a key operational partner to Commercial teams, working closely with local and global stakeholders to translate business needs into operational solutions, influence priorities, and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, business consulting, or a related fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data management skills (Excel).
  • Experience in project management and a track record of delivering complex initiatives on schedule.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a structured and creative approach to tackling complex business and operational challenges.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business-oriented mindset, with the ability to connect operational initiatives to commercial priorities and business performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
