Job Title Sr .NET Developer (Azure / Power Apps)
Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid)
Duration: 10 months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Candidate must be local

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to support application development, modernization, and data migration initiatives. This role involves designing and developing Power Apps, customer-facing web applications, and enhancing existing .NET applications while working within an Agile Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Requirements Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Document current and future-state business processes, system workflows, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain data mapping and interface mapping documentation between legacy and modern applications.
• Ensure complete traceability of functional and non-functional requirements.

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using ASP.NET MVC, C#, and Entity Framework
• Develop and support Power Apps and customer-facing web applications.
• Build and deploy applications using Azure App Services
• Develop and optimize Azure SQL databases, stored procedures, and queries.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation using Azure DevOps and Azure Git Repositories

Data Migration & Validation

• Develop reusable automated data validation scripts.
• Validate migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and business rule compliance.
• Verify record counts, referential integrity, and data transformations.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies with development and data teams.
• Document migration testing procedures and validation results.
• Support System Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Agile Development

• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize backlog items.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software increments.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework

• Experience developing Power Apps solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure Git Repositories
  • CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience creating automated SQL/data validation scripts.
• Strong SQL development and relational database experience.
• Experience with data migration, data mapping, and interface mapping.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for work item management, testing, and defect tracking.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with legacy application modernization projects.

• Public sector or government project experience.
• Experience with SSIS and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of API integrations and enterprise system interfaces.
• Understanding of application security, user access management, and reporting validation.
