PURPOSE

The Sr. National Account Manager is responsible for driving sales performance and executing account strategies for Costco International and BJ’s Wholesale. This role manages key customer relationships, partners cross-functionally to deliver business objectives, and supports innovation and growth within the Club channel. A strong focus is placed on execution, forecasting, and aligning internal teams to meet customer and organizational goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

  • Deliver top- and bottom-line AOP objectives across Club channels, specifically supporting Costco International and BJ’s Wholesale.

  • Develop and execute customer-specific short- and long-term account plans aligned to channel strategies.

  • Partner with Directors of Club, Specialty, and FDM channels to support key initiatives and ensure strong execution across cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain and strengthen day-to-day relationships with key contacts at Costco and BJ’s Wholesale.

  • Support innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities and assisting in the development and launch of new items within the Club channel.

  • Prepare customer presentations, business reviews, and internal reports for senior leadership.

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing teams to align on priorities and ensure effective execution of programs and deliverables.

  • Leverage the full suite of commercial capabilities (promotions, shopper insights, media, data) to provide value-driven, consultative solutions to customers.

  • Partner with Finance to evaluate the financial performance of new and existing business and recommend actions as needed.

  • Manage account pipelines and forecasts to support accurate planning and delivery of quarterly targets.

  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment across cross-functional teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Strong experience in the confectionary category preferred, with a focus on selling to large national accounts.

  • Must be able to display a strong understanding of category management principles as well as analytical skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to prepare presentations and articulately deliver to managers, as well as pladis senior management.

  • Strong negotiation and Customer presentation skills.

  • Emotional and professional maturity and poise (significant interaction with senior management and external customers).

  • Exposure to P&L in previous roles highly desired.

  • Self-starter/independent worker.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change.

  • Previous experience in customer marketing, shopper marketing or trade planning preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Minimum Education Required: College Degree Preferred in related field.
• Relevant work experience: 5-7 years+ in CPG and Costco experience a plus.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Base starting salary ranges from $122k - $176k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:
