Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage various aspects of PACCAR’s relationship with suppliers of MRO products and services for the PACCAR Engine Company, including the some commercial and contractual requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery, and customer service.
  • Supports locating sources of supply, obtaining quotations and bids, and purchases assigned items in accord with price, quality, and schedule standards.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to consolidate and streamline purchasing-related activities being conducted at other PACCAR locations divisions.
  • Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in reduced product or service cost, improved supply chain performance, and enhanced product and service quality.
  • Processes purchasing requisitions in a timely fashion per procedure.
  • Maintain supplier database and coordinate supplier communications.
  • Issue change orders on product price, specification, quantity, etc., within established limits of authority.
  • Coordinate activities with production, engineering, and other departments as necessary.
  • Monitor receipt of desired product quality and quantity, reports deficiencies and implements corrective action as necessary.
  • Perform follow-up on critical or overdue orders per request.
  • Route and distribute Purchase Orders for approval.
  • File purchasing copies of requisitions and POs daily.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related business experience
  • Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management
  • Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
  • Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic
  • Team Player that is self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision while maintaining a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times.
  • Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, & presentation
  • PC skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis
