We are seeking a highly analytical, innovative and strategic leader to join the Global Monetization team within eBay Services. In this role, you will independently own and execute high-impact strategic workstreams that directly influence eBay’s Operating Income (OI) and Revenue Growth. You will be tasked with thinking big picture about marketplace dynamics, breaking down intricate cross-functional problems, developing quantitative frameworks and delivering impactful presentations to executive leadership.

This involves evaluating monetization levers entirely through a customer-centric lens—ensuring that our core products, platform features, and value-added services deliver undeniable value while acutely responding to user needs and Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD)."
What you'll accomplish:
Drive End-to-End Strategic Workstreams: Independently lead high-priority monetization initiatives—such as refining platform pricing for high-value transactions or introducing net-new revenue streams.
Build Advanced Economic & Valuation Frameworks: Author complex scoring and monetization frameworks to assess platform opportunities and evaluate volume stability risks (buyer elasticity, seller stickiness).
Perform Research on Buyer, Seller and 3P Audiences Employ quantitative and qualitative research techniques to deeply understand customers’ end-to-end journeys and emphasize with JTBDs, underlying needs, pain points and motivations.
Conduct Market & Financial Analysis: Partner with Insights teams to gauge eBay competitive positioning and with Analytics to model P&L impact of pricing changes and new monetization strategies
Lead Cross-Functional Coalitions: Act as the strategic connective tissue between Category / Markets BUs, Legal, Privacy, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Programs on the launch and operationalization of new monetization
What you'll bring:
6+ years of total experience, with a meaningful tenure at a top-tier management consulting firm or within a dedicated Corporate Strategy / Monetization / Strategy & Ops function in a global technology or e-commerce company.
Strong Quantitative Skills: Proven track record of building rigorous data models, evaluating price elasticity, establishing multi-factor opportunity scores, and conducting robust scenario-based financial forecasting (P&L impact).
First-Principles Problem Solving: Proven track record to take ambiguous, complex marketplace challenges, break them down into mutually exclusive hypotheses, and design rigorous testing frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field.
MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier business school.
Experience with marketplace monetization mechanics and margin structures (e.g., revenue take rates, value-added fees, payments, loss rates, incentives).
Experience with data monetization / licensing and API infrastructure
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$121,200 - C$161,800
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
