and responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Senior Manager – IT Application Development to help transform United’s Enterprise technology landscape. The leader in this role will use frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to build intelligent agents, automate complex workflows, and unlock new levels of speed, quality, and productivity across Enterprise Systems.

• Enterprise Systems Domain Leadership: Provide effective leadership, motivation, and mentoring
  across the Enterprise Systems domains, including Workday, ServiceNow, Finance Applications, and
  Corporate Software, while building domain capability, delivery ownership, and operational accountability
• Agentic Solution Design, Orchestration, and Integration Architect, engineer, and scale AI agents and Bots (Robotic Process Automation) to automate workflows across the organization, leveraging frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to orchestrate multi-step tasks, decisioning, tool use, human-in-the-loop approvals, and integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, data sources, and cloud platforms.
• Agentic AI Strategy and Workflow Automation Leadership Lead the identification, prioritization, and automation of high-impact enterprise workflows using Agentic AI, ensuring solutions reduce manual effort, improve cycle time, and align with business and technology objectives.
• Hybrid Engineering and Modernization: Maintain strong technical ownership across cloud-native application development and AI automation, including .NET/Java services, Python-based AI tooling, legacy modernization patterns, and scalable deployment practices.
• Knowledge Automation and RAG Enablement Build and govern Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines that index technical documentation, legacy specifications, code repositories, and process knowledge to improve agent accuracy, explainability, and reusability.
• LLM Integration, Governance, and Risk Management Evaluate, integrate, and optimize LLMs and model platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, LLaMA, and AWS Bedrock while establishing guardrails for security, privacy, responsible AI, reliability, and operational compliance.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s in Engineering in Computers or any other stream of IT
• 15+ years in Programming: Dual proficiency in Agentic AI development, Python (for AI) and .NET/Java (for application development).
• 8+ years of experience working as a manager or technical lead
• 2+ years in Agentic-AI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith for building multi-step reasoning workflows.
• 3+ years in Robotic Process Automation RPA development and maintenance
• Agentic-AI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph for building multi-step reasoning workflows.
• Vector Tech: Experience with semantic search and Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, etc.).
• Cloud Architecture: Familiarity with the AWS Ecosystem (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB etc).
• System Design: Proven ability to build tool-calling agents that interact with APIs and databases.
• Hands experience with Enterprise software management i.e. Workday, ServiceNow, Corporate systems, SaaS model and process automation
• Strong understanding of automation design principles, reusable component development, orchestration, error handling and performance optimization for scalable enterprise automation.
• Experience in end-to-end bot development, testing, deployment, maintenance and production support using enterprise RPA platforms..
