The Team

The Retail Planning team is responsible for the end-to-end merchandise and inventory planning for Calvin Klein Full Price Retail across EMEA. The team develops financial and assortment strategies that maximize commercial performance while ensuring the right products are available in the right stores at the right time.

Working closely with Buying, Branch Planning, Merchandising, and Retail teams, the Planning function balances consumer demand, inventory investment, and profitability to deliver sustainable business growth and an exceptional customer experience.

The Role

As Senior Planner – CK Full Price, you will lead the merchandise planning strategy for a division or product group across Calvin Klein Full Price and Concession stores in EMEA. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will partner closely with Retail Buying to develop commercial plans that drive sales growth, optimize inventory, and protect the Calvin Klein brand positioning.

As a senior member of the Planning organization, you will also act as a subject matter expert, supporting planning systems and processes while mentoring and developing more junior planners. This role combines strategic thinking with strong commercial execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise Planning

  • Conduct seasonal hindsight analyses and define forward merchandise strategies in partnership with Retail Buying.
  • Develop store clusters based on store type, capacity, grading, and regional market requirements.
  • Build seasonal merchandise plans, including sales, inventory, and stock targets, in collaboration with Hub & Branch Planning and Buying teams.
  • Support buy quantification and ensure alignment between buying budgets and merchandise plans.
  • Present merchandise plans and recommendations to Planning, Buying, and Retail Leadership for approval.
  • Conduct SKU-level size planning and determine optimal size distributions.
  • Define and continuously optimize initial allocation, seasonal replenishment, and Never-Out-of-Stock (NOS) parameters.
  • Manage the Weekly Sales, Stock and Intake (WSSI) process, including monthly forecasting, Open-to-Buy (OTB), sales, inventory, and profit management.
  • Lead central promotional and markdown planning while incorporating market and store-specific insights.
  • Conduct regular store and market visits to validate planning assumptions and identify commercial opportunities.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Mentor and support the development of junior members of the Planning team.
  • Act as a key user for planning systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Share best practices and help drive consistency across planning methodologies.
  • Build strong partnerships with Buying, Branch Planning, Retail, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced merchandise planner with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for translating data into business decisions. You enjoy working cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders, and balancing strategic planning with operational execution. You are comfortable taking ownership, coaching others, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment.

You'll bring:

  • A university degree with 4–7 years of relevant merchandise planning experience, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Deep understanding of retail merchandise financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Proven experience managing retail KPIs and developing assortment strategies that achieve financial objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, allocation, replenishment, and Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end fashion retail process, from merchandising through to in-store execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues and contributing to team development.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English.
