Join our team as a Senior Meetings & Events Specialist, where you'll contribute to planning and executing impactful events that showcase our brand and drive marketing success. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of in-person and digital events, including tradeshows, conferences, and customer appreciation events. This role combines strategic marketing expertise with detailed event management, requiring both creative vision and careful attention to detail.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll develop comprehensive event strategies aligned with marketing objectives and lead generation goals. You'll oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, from budget management and contract negotiations to promotion and attendee experience. Your work will directly contribute to building our marketing pipeline and strengthening customer relationships through memorable event experiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred plus 8 years of experience in Marketing Communications and/or Event Management in a business-to-business environment, or experience equivalent
• Preferred Fields of Study: Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Certified Trade Show Management (CTSM) and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification preferred
• Experience in planning and executing large-scale in-person and digital events
• Strong lead generation and lead collection strategy experience
• Contract negotiation and budget management skills
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
• Strong analytical skills for measuring and reporting event performance metrics
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in industrial markets preferred
• Scientific capital equipment industry knowledge preferred
• Ability to travel up to 30%
• Ability to lift and move 15-20 lbs
• Proficiency in event management and marketing software platforms
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in evolving environments
