The ideal person is curious and tenacious with strong critical thinking skills and 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience creating electromechanics and/or mechatronic products. You understand the design process and working with suppliers/manufacturers to bring your product to life.

What You'll Do
- Research, analyze, design, develop, test, and validate new products.
- Determine feasibility of development within constraints and work internally and externally to solve complex engineering problems that result in best-in-class products.
- Document requirements and product specifications using tools such as SolidWorks.
- Conduct and/or review the testing of new designs, interpret test data, and recommend corrective actions with the team and suppliers to ensure optimum functionality and quality.
- Spend time with customers to understand what they need and deliver solutions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field – Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Physics or related.
- 5+ years of product engineering experience with strong design skills.
- Curious, tenacious, entrepreneurial, collaborative nature that is focused on the customer.
- Experience using RCCA, FMEA, Fault Trees, Ishikawa Fish Bone diagrams.
- Experience with tools such as SolidWorks, LabView, and others.
- Knowledge of electromechanical / mechatronic devices in the areas of psychrometrics, thermodynamics, HVAC, heat transfer, cooling, materials, measurement systems, etc. is a big plus.

The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $138,000 - $160,000 plus bonus.  Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
