We are looking for a Sr Manager to partner with the ‘Region-led markets’ and to support the identification, prioritization, execution and monitoring of growth acceleration programs for the Medical Surgical OUs to include the CSI, RST, DT, ACM and Endoscopy businesses. This role will play a key role to ensure the region-led markets continue to have connectivity and alignment to the global OUs and IOUs and to identify investment opportunities to accelerate and drive sustainable growth

  • Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term business strategies
  • Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of business and product development.
  • Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
  • Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
  • Coordinates with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.
  • May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs.
  • Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

  • Bachelors required, Master degree preferred
  • English Fluent , Spanish and Portuguese

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience working in a commercial, financial or strategic role
  • Prior experience working in the respective regions
  • Familiarity with the Medical Surgical portfolios and clinical specialities

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.

Communication and Influence: Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team.

Leadership and Talent Management: Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team of managers, experienced professionals and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Establishes daily tasks necessary for successful program execution.
Not directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in one department.
Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$159,200.00-$238,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
