Job Description

The Senior Leader is responsible for leading all warehousing, material handling and inventory management operations for a mid-volume, large equipment manufacturing facility. This role ensures operational excellence across inventory management, material flow, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all warehouse operations, ensuring alignment with plant and business objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle count processes and controls.
  • Drive a zero-injury culture by championing safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
  • Manage relationships and performance of 3PL warehousing partners and onsite material handling service providers.
  • Oversee inbound logistics, including truck scheduling, dock management, and unloading efficiency.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reduce environmental impact, including minimizing propane and diesel usage in material handling operations.
  • Apply Lean methodologies to improve line-side material delivery, sequencing, and overall production flow.
  • Track, trend, and resolve inbound material damage in collaboration with Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality, leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles (Black Belt / Master Black Belt preferred).
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to poor quality through robust measurement systems and process controls.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Influence functional strategy, policies, and operating guidelines within the plant and across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional projects with moderate complexity, resources, and risk, delivering measurable performance improvements.
  • Present business solutions and influence stakeholders at multiple levels, including leadership, peers, and external partners.

Leadership & Impact

  • Serve as a functional expert and thought leader within warehousing, logistics, and production scheduling.
  • Influence decision-making across functions and contribute to business unit performance, including budget ownership.
  • Lead teams to solve complex operational challenges using data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources to drive sound, strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Significant experience in quality, process improvement, and/or manufacturing operations.

Desired Characteristics

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (or in progress).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading programs and cross-functional projects.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
